  • More techniques to come?...

Okay, so same question as below, but different heading...

Since the Symphonic Cube is somewhat "definitive", will the sampling project continue? More specifically, will we still see more articulations and performance techniques sampled for the conventional instruments? Or will it be more a matter of moving on to other instruments with the already-established set of articulations (where possible/appropriate)?
(My other comment/question was specifically asking about a flz (flutter-tongue) legato articulation.)

  • a good question...

  • J.,

while I can't give you a definite answer because I'm at the rear end of the production team [[;)]] , I still believe that the chances of getting additional articulations for existing instruments in the future are pretty good.

Also, I think that recording flutter-tongue legatos would take about double the time of normal legatos ... would be nice, though.

    Cheers

  • Thanks David...

are there any other comments on this? I see from the Brass list that the FX (i.e clusters and rips) differ from instrument to instrument. Could be nice if there was the same kinds of articulations for each brass section.

  • Well there is so much posibilities that it's better to have a different one for each instrument
