    For those that don't have the ww ensembles yet - is that French (hopefully) or Viennese)?


    Herb - please don't take offense to this remark but the French is by far more usuable is so many more applications than the original. Here's to hoping it is the French (actually is partly your fault for making the French Oboe instrument so good [:D]

    I just checked the articualtions for the horizon ww ensemble. It only has one dynamic, typicaly mf for interval legato. Are there more in VI? Its just I rely heavily on modwheeling between dynamics for my legato instruments

    Yes, there are more. You get a softer (piano) velocity for xfading.

    i just bought the rest of the horizons i didn't already own.. woodwind ensembles being one of them ..


    jeez, i know the vienna phil has them and all that, but.. really [[[:D]]] listen to that sound ..LOL everytime i hear vienna phil on the telly and see that vienna oboe i start laughing LOL .. oh god [[[:D]]] at least i bought french oboe then [:D] what IS that sound !!

    3 of them .. in one sample .. [:D] i'm looking forward to this one [:D]

    Actually the sound of 3 oboes works very well. Most of the characteristics (probably) that you like about the French Oboe sound are nowhere near as pronounced when you have 3 instruments playing. I, like you, don't like the Viennese oboe sound, but have no problem with the ensembles, and I hadn't actually thought about which Oboe was being played. Just shows you how dense I can be [*-)]
