  • Room Tone problem partially solved, but...

I just asked a question about generating room tone in MIR3D using Cubase 12. I think I figured it out, at least in part. I am now getting a room tone, but I do not know how to change it to match a particular venue. The sound is the same no matter what I do. How can you use a particularly venue's RT?

    Thanks,

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

in fact there are individual RoomTones for every Main Microphone Position of every MIR Venue. They are recorded in Ambisonics just like the actual IRs, and they will decode to any chosen Output Format just like the reverb itself. However, there can only be one MIR plug-in set to act as RoomTone Generator per Venue Tab.

To get RoomTones from a specific Tab, make sure to add a new instance, move it to the intended Venue, and only then you should activate the Generator:

    HTH!
