  • Synchron Piano Edit Window not working

    Hello all,

I am trying to edit individual notes of the Steinway Synchron piano, applying EQ to some harsher frequencies, but as soon as I save (either as a user preset, or the logic project) it does not work any more. Only works on a new project before saving (so rather useless...).The EQ curve and volume change on each note are visible, but they just do not work any more and modify the sound as intended. The velocity curve is the only effect that works consistently.

I have tried re-installing the Synchron Piano player and the samples through Vienna Assistant with no results.

Anybody encountered this issue and managed to find a solution?

Thank you so much for your help! I am starting to despair...

  • Me again,

After testing, I realised what I had not understood. Not proud but it might help someone out there one day.

If one is using "timbre shift" in the Play window, the note one has to edit changes accordingly. For instance, if you have the timbre shift set to -2, you need to edit the note 2 semi-tones higher (edit the D to affect the lower C).

Logical and rather simple, but not so evident without thinking about it. It could be an interesting feature to implement in the future: adjust the note to be edited according to the timbre shift selected.
