  • Server instances empty

I know there are a lot of posts of problem with server instances not showing up when trying to connect to VEP 7.

I tried many suggestions and the last one was described here: https://www.vsl.co.at/manuals/vep7/network

I am on windows 10 on my Alieware labtop, nothing worked so far.

Are there people here who solved this mystery?

    Many thanks, robert glotzbach

  • Funny fact.... I installed the free version of VEP-7, and that one works perfectly (Yes, I checked the I-Lock manager and the pro version is activated).

I don't even know what the differences are.

Sometimes if you open and close VEPro preferences that’s enough to trigger the DAW to see the instances.

Thanks for the suggestion @Olympum I became exited reading your suggestion, unfortunately, it did not help.

    Best, robert

  • I have it several times a day but on a Mac the opining and closing VEP preferences fortunately always works. I wonder if it has something to do with coupling mode (the two arrows in the top bar just left of the instance name. The free version might not have that.

I, too, find this one of thee most frustrating parts of VEPro. Everything worked yesterday. No system changes (to my knowledge) and its failing today.

You can type the IP address into the plug-in window in the host/DAW. Use 127.0.0.1

If you are using multiple instances, you need then to type the Instance name as well.

I didn't find that opening and closing the VEPro preferences helped at all, nor did reboots of my various systems.

Please VSL - try and sort this...
