  • Synchron vs Studio in MIR 3D

Since MIR is on sale, and I have both Synchron and Studio series, I'm wondering about the comparison here.

  • The Synchron series is not set up for MIR the way the Studio series is. In Studio the Synchron Player has a "MIR unprocessed" mixing preset. Select it, then route to MIR and you're good to go. The Synchron series have no way that I know of to turn off the baked-in mix. You can adjust it, but you can't remove it.

So if your goal is MIR, go with Studio series.

  • @Bill - it's like @DaddyO wrote.

To borrow a comparison from the world of clothing: When it comes to orchestra seating and halls, Synchron Instruments are Prêt-à-porter, while Studio Series is for tailor-made solutions. 😊 Both have their specific values and idiosyncrasies.

  • Thanks you both. Any difference in sonic quality?

  • Pretty different on a conceptual level, but both concepts adhere to the highest technical and musical standards.
