  • Where are the (old?) SE PLUS maps?

Somewhat recently, VSL updated the names of their products and now the Dorico projects I created using the 'former' Synchronized Edition libraries no longer work.

Typical problem: I have woodwinds, strings, Horns etc. mapping to SA SYzd SE PLUS and now the associated EMs in PLAY mode are empty because Dorico can't figure out the names of the new maps. In fact, there are no longer any maps with the words 'PLUS'...

I',m sure there's a simple explanation. But where can I find a document explaining the correspondance between former SE PLUS maps and the new ones (assuming they still exist but inside a new package)?

    Tks

  • Hello Gil!

The Studio Special Edition PLUS content is now part of the normal Special Edition content. As a consequence the PLUS articulations are now included in the normal Studio Special Edition expression maps for Dorico too.

You can either apply a playback template that you have (re-)saved recently with Dorico Wizard, or you could assign the normal Studio Special Edition expression maps manually.

    Best regards,
    Andi
