Just installed today's 1.2.498 Vienna Assistant update, installed fine but now it won't launch.
Had a large VE Pro Server Project going that I didn't want to shut down and reload, but since it worked for you I tried it and it worked for me too. Thanks, Bill.
Kudos for adding a "Hide" feature for uninstalled items in this VA update. In my case I hid all legacy VI instruments and software, leaving me with ... NOTHING counted as uninstalled. This makes the category much more useful for me.
The same problem as above has reared it's head again, and this time even worse. It started becoming more frequent, now today multiple computer reboots have no effect. Vienna Assistant simply will not run for me.
I do not know the version number, since I can't open it to find out, but it is at least the version referenced in this thread.
Uninstalled, reinstalled, and things work again. Uninstall warned that it could not close a couple of active Vienna Assistant processes, so apparently they were still running from the last time the program successfully ran. Install gave me the same warning, so I identified the processes in Task Manager and stopped them manually. After doing this reinstall worked fine.
