    Am I doing something wrong or are there ambience in the close mics ? I´m looking for a dry sound. Turned off the reverb and only using Ribbon closemic.

    If this indeed is baked into the samples - is there a VSL piano that is more dry that I can go for. I will only be using close mics

    The CFX is recorded in Synchron Stage A, which is a big scoring stage. You're going to pick up some hall sound with it.

    The Studio Piano series is recorded in Synchron Stage B, which is a small room.

    For a drier sound, try to lover the RS level and you can get a pretty dry sound.
