Hey all! I just read a thread over at VI about the VSL Synchron Elite Strings and their ribbon microphones, and that sounded amazing! 😃
I have Studio Special Edition 1–7 and use them with Preset 99 together with MIR Pro 3D. I was wondering: Are the same microphones used in the full versions of the Studio Instruments?

Dietz could actually have answered your question better than me. I can only guarantee that my answer is about 95% correct 😉 The Special Editions have always been decouplings of the Full Libraries. In the past this meant “samples only in whole tone steps” and of course “reduction in the amount of articulations”. Otherwise the same recording technique, same microphones etc.
