  • Studio Woodwinds Sound Variations in Studio One 7 mismatch

    Hi,

    I think I found a serious bug.

When selecting for example the Sound Variation "Legato - Normal - Vibrato" in Oboe 1 Synchron Player selects "Legato - Normal - No Vibrato".

So, to get the "Vibrato" version I need to use the "XF vibrato" variation. Thus, trying to select the "XF vibrato" via the Sound Variation is not possible.

This seems to be consistent throughout all the Studio Woodwinds.

System: Windows 11, Studio One Pro 7.0.2.103351 (latest version at the time of writing).

    /Thomas

  • Any news on this? It's pretty much unusable at the moment. Everything I load up is wrong. (Although, I like the no vibrato patches but not when I need them.)

I just tested in Studio One Pro 6 and the problem behaves the same. Sound variations on third "level" is off. Studio Recorders as well.

  • Hello Thomas

    Thanks for getting in touch,
I managed to replicate the problem and forwarded it to our developers.
In the meantime there would be one workaround:
You can change the Vibrator Controller to a Keyswitch (e.g.: C2) and everything should work as expected.

    Kind regards from Vienna

    Gabriel

  • yeah i flagged this 5 weeks ago, had to rebuild all my presets as i was relying a lot on dimension controls that use CC but only Dim.Ctrl A works as expected, the others are broken

  • by the way this is not library dependent, it affects all Synchron player patches

No, Synchron Brass, Synchron Strings Pro and Synchron Elite Strings works as they should on my system?

right, that's because they use keyswitch notes and DimCtrl.A CC in those libraries patches, and those work as expected.

I only noticed the issue because i use custom presets and i used to have CC keyswtiches in DImension Controls other than A instead of notes.
