Just recently purchased the standard library for the Fazioli f308. At over $350, I'm underwhelmed by the amount of reverb but even more perturbed by the sustain behavior. Put simply, the Synchron standalone player doesn't seem to have a progressive sustain curve.
Pianoteq 8, by comparison, has no "half pedal" setting, percentage or feature. It graduates in finer steps...0, 25, 50, 75 and 100%. With the Sychron player it behaves more like an ON/OFF type of pedal (0, 50% and 100%) even though the continuous feature is activated. IOW, the half pedal setting (%) when you see the ring and 100% when the whole marker lights up (after hearing the pedal click). I have a Yamaha CLP-745 and I have no issues with Pianoteq 8 as far as sustain goes. It behaves more like an acoustic piano. The Synchron, by comparison does not.
All in all a rather disappointing feature. A 30 day trial and I would not have bought this thing.
