I want to use MIR 3D only to introduce early reflections and will use another plugin to create the reverb tail. So, I have a couple of questions:
-
The POP Mode prevents the volume from changing when I move the instrument further back in the room, but does this also affect the early reflections, or do they change as I move the instrument around in the room?
-
Does the Dry Solo button remove the reverb tail from the room while leaving only the early reflections intact?
Depending on the answer, I think the best way to approach this is to use POP Mode, so I can control the volume affected by distance in the DAW mix, and activate Dry Solo to capture only the early reflections. That way, I’ll place all my libraries in Close MIC. I mostly use Cinematic Studio and Cinesamples libraries.
