  • Studio One 7 Sound Variations issue

    Hi

In Studio One 7.0.1 and Synchron Player 1.3.1865 (both latest versions) the sound variations using CC are only working correctly when used in Dim.A, the same CC will not work as expected in other dimensions.

To test choose a CC number and assign it to different Dimensions, then have at least 3 cells with the assigned dimension.

If the Dim.A is being used, choosing the 3 sound variations will respectively select the corresponding cell.

If another dimension that uses the same CC is used, the cells will not be selected correctly.

Can anyone from VSL confirm if this is a bug?

    thanks

    EDIT

this issue only happens on the VST3 version where automated sound variations are possible, the VST2 version works correctly

  • Can anyone from VSL tell me what is going on with Synchron player and Studio One?

I opened a ticket and still no answer as well

Only Dim.A and notes are currently working with sound variations in VST3.

VST2 is broken (will record speed and velocity as curves if used as dimensions)

AU as well is broken has it has been for years, no GUI

VST3 will not allow custom sound variations, so pretty much useless if you want your own presets ( not everyone likes to use 500 sound variations and long names).

I noticed Synchron Strings Pro and Elite changed the dimensions to avoid using velocity and speed.

Only way to be able to work with Synchron player in Studio One is to use VEP or Audiogridder.
