  • Problems installing Synchron Player

Hello, first of all, I´m new here, some kind of Black Friday victim 😉.

I tried to install my software with the assistant. which works well for all but not the Synchron Player (Windows, Version 1.3.1865)
It gets stuck at 0% even after an hour of waiting.
I cancled it and tried it manually - it seems it installs the software and then stops at the point "extracting" whatever. This stays that way and can only be ended by a reboot of the system. I tried it multiple times with the same result.

I could start the software and it looks ok, unsure what and if I will miss something later on.
Back at the assistant it still shows "not installed".

May someone of the more expirienced users here can help?

  • mmmm.... sounds like a similar thing to mine: it says synchron player update, but it doesn't seem to update. Anyone from VSL got an answer? Previous version is installed OK

  • Hi! What happens if you right-click the tile of the Synchron Player software and instead of installing it, you choose to download? Once downloaded, run the installer outside of Vienna Assistant from your download folder. Does that work?

Thanks, but no, unfortunately not - this is what I meant with manual in my first post, at the Assistant I can´t see anything, it is stuck at 0%.
If I run the installer at Windows it seems to install anything (as far as I see; VST & Program Files are there afterwards) - then the installer comes to a point saying "Extracting" and stops working - the window cannot be accessed anymore, if you click on it - it gives a binging, but there is no way to at least cancel it, also not with Alt-Tab or via the taskmanager "End Task". Only a reboot solves it.
I played a bit around with what I have now, at the first glance I would say, it works - but I´m not sure is this is a solid base
