  • Problems with Studio Orchestral Strings

    Hello guys,

My Studio Orchestral Strings plugin is behaving strangely in VEPro7. For example, when I play Violins 1 Regular>Legato>Normal with my MIDI controller, all notes above C6 work as you'd expect. But when I hit a key below C6, everything goes nuts. The patches in the Synchron Player seem to respond randomly to the keys on my MIDI controller (there must be a pattern, but there's too many variables so I can't figure it out). So, B5 suddenly triggers Regular>Glissandos>Octave down, but it depends on which key you hit first. It doesn't make any sense anymore.

The keys in the Synchron Player itself do trigger the corresponding patches above it. No problem there. My controller and the Synchron Player do not communicate as they're supposed to.

I checked all other VSL libraries/instruments and they work fine. Only Orchestral Strings is having issues. I have reinstalled Orchestral Strings and the problem remains.

Also, below Sul ponticello>Long notes there should be a legato as I presume, but now there's Long(copy). I guess that's not correct either.

I do not get an error or some other indication of a problem in the software. (VEPro7 thinks it's fine.)

Anyone here with a possible solution? Should I uninstall and install the library? Is this maybe a known bug? 🐜

  • EDIT:

I didn't post this thread in Synchron Player, because it's not a Synchron Player problem per se. In the standalone version it works fine.
