  • Question about a new bundle option besides standard and full

I'm a big fan of the VI/Studio series... and if I was to buy into the synchron series, at least initially, my primary interest is in matching that product with my existing VI/Studio libraries...

I'm really only interested in the close mics, as I want to place them in MIR3D... I'm curious if VSL would ever consider selling this configuration? Right now, they're split up between standard and full, and I'm not currently interested in the mid/overhead/main/high mics.... so, if there was a way to get close mics for a reasonable price, with upgrade options to standard and full, I would love that...

I feel like this would give me a path towards embracing adding the synchron series to complement my existing VI/Studio series libraries ... and it could add value to the MIR3D product line as well...

One other thing... using some of the many advanced de-reverb tools to remove reverb from these samples would be awesome too... but that is an extra ask...

  • Hi Jason,

No plans for such a variation at this point.

You will ALWAYS hear that the samples of the Synchron Series were recorded in such a big hall, which makes the combination with MIR Pro less attractive (although possible). We decided to NOT support this combination actively (e.g., with instrument presets or similar), as it really goes against the concept.

Thanks for not leaving me hanging! I appreciate that about you guys. As someone who has everything in the VI series and synchronized series, I'm looking for the best way to expand built around the versatility of what I have. I want to keep using MIR3D, and not change my workflow into focusing on the multi mics. I don't expect you guys to do anything just for me, but I'm poking around and seeing what works.

  • Hi,

Totally understand your position. If you are working with scoring stages like the Teldex and Synchron Stage a lot, it will be quite easy to fit in our Synchron Series products, and with all the mixer presets we provide, you can also blend it with other venues that are available with MIR Pro.

Happy to let you give this a try with a Synchron product of your choice. Please get in touch via support@vsl.co.at!
