  • Articulation maps in Logic

    Hi guys,

Has anyone got articulation maps to work successfully in Logic Pro X?

I'm testing the Solo Violin before creating them for all the instruments I own.

I'm using the settings below but i can't get the correct articulation to sound when selecting the corresponding one in the drop down list on the track.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Paulo

  • RESOLVED (feel free to delete post)

If anyone is interested, the issue was that VIPro and Logic seemed to disagree about where C1 actually is. Setting the articulation map an octave lower made it work.

  • Logic has two display settings for octaves. If memory serves, “Yamaha” setting has middle C as C3, and “Roland” puts it at C4. I’ve been using the C4 setting for decades, and that is also VSL’s default.

Thank you, I never knew that.
