  • SAVING time breaks my flow

    hi all

I currently use 3 vepro slave PCs and one Vepro on my master PC.

My tracks grown to 1600+ now.

Everytime I save, it takes several minutes (600 Mb file). Time I can't use to stay focused. It bugs me a lot.

I noticed that I could just close all VEPRO connections and Cubase saves the project in a blink of an eye. Since I do not change anything on my VEPRO Templates I wonder if I could just make Cubase skip the read-out of my VePro Connections.

    Any Tips?

  • ah I see - great, that solves it for me.

  • wait - not really.
    question to DECOUPLING.

The article describes de-activating the plugin and later below a permanent decoupling is described.
    So (1) or (2) ?

Furthermore it is not clear if the DECOUPLE symbol (2) needs to be ACTIVE to decouple or inactive to decouple. I probably have to test on my 100+ instances 😕

  • Hi @HorNet505

#1 disables the entire instance - #2 decouples it. If the icon is active (not greyed out), the instances are decoupled, and the DAW will NOT save plugin/library data.

  • thank god you saved me a lot of waiting time, during which I usually start drinking coffee or eating sweet unhealthy stuff.
Therefore the solution might be litterally a life saviour 😉
