  • SE Vol 1 Activated iLok / not showing in Syncron

    VI / Ensemble 5.4 SE Vol 1

    Hi ,

    Long day downloading various versions / updates of my SE Vol 1 library I have had original working great ( with ensemble )for over a decade , thank you.

    1) I wanted to transfer VI SE Vol 1 to ilok version form elicenser so I can have ( updated) library for my old VI 5.4 ( as back up)

    At one point I downloaded VI Pro but that broke my Ensemble app .So I reinstalled the old one one.

    2)Because I was able to download and register VI version on iLok I spent ages trying all sorts to load it in Syncron Player

    I realised I had to buy the new version .So purchased SE Vol1 synchron ,

    Activated iLok / downloaded installed from VA rebooted computer(many times )and still the SE Vol1 Synchrony library does not show up in the player ( big band does)

    I tried moving licence to cloud and back but that didn’t work and I think I’ve re downloaded library several times .

    Please look at my folder set up and advise as to why I can’t get this to work

    If possible I would like my old VI SE and synchrony SE working on iLok on one Mojave system

    So I can compare and learn synchrony Also Does Ensemble 7 work on Mac os10.14

    Having purchased synchrony SE ( perhaps unnecessarily )my priority now is to have the library show up in Syncron player

  • Since posting I realise I can't run the elicnser version and ilkok version on same machine, so I presume I uninstall VI/Ensemble 5.4 and all associated old software

    Download VI pro and and a compatible version of Ensemble 7 ( Mac OS 10.14.) reinstall both library versions ( or just synchrony if I'm brave) I did try this before but Ensemble disappeared.

    Hope Ive got this right


  • Hi! To avoid any confusion. Your screenshots show the VIENNA INSTRUMENTS (VI) version of Special Edition Vol. 1 - which is not a Synchron Player library.
