  • MacOS - Vienna Assistant quits at launch after update to vs 1.1.409

    Apple M1 Max Ventura 13.6.3 iLok LM 5.9.0

    After many weeks away from my studio, today VA proposed an auto-update at launch - normally ending up seamlessly - but soon after it won't launch. I found 2 .zip files in the DL folder

    ViennaAssistant-macOS-1_1_409

    VA_Client_Update_1.1.427 (Zero byte)

    I have retried uninstalling and reusing the available .zip folder : the installation process is fine but the app again quits at launch

    I have searched for DL the VA installer .zip file from within My Downloads Area while logged-in but the page does not exist (¿?)

    PLEASE CAN YOU TELL WHAT TO DO ?


  • Hi, I have exactly the same problem ! VA refuses to launch after updating to ViennaAssistant-macOS-1_1_409.

    I use 2 computers :

    MacPro (mid-2012), OS Mojave 10.14.6

    MacPro (2013), OS Monterey, 12.7.6

    Same Problem on both. Apparently the application needs to access "Downloads", and crashes.

  • Same on PC Win 10 here. The log file mentions:
    Network Error: Host odl.vsl.co.at not found

    (o.t. what an odd forum engine - I can't correct the error in my previous post and I get some pop-up telling me to wait 300 secs:( )


  • Sorry about that. It should work for most users again. Try to restart the Assistant / reload the page. If it still doesn't work re-try in ~an hour.

  • I have installed VA 1.1.427

    Its working fine now. Thanks for being so reactive !


  • Ok thanks it updated to 1.1.427 now and works as usual

    I see that Synchron Percussions v1,4 updates are availables, it reads "new sample content - same quality up to 4 times smaller"

    Can you please tell if samples' size is the only difference or other features?

    I mean, having no loading speed issues it would be useless to update to me

    The only difference is a smaller content size on your SSD, the performance and loading times are the same.
