Komplete Kontrol MK3 Lightguide - VEP7 Pro

Wie viele hier benutze ich VEP7 Pro, in meinem Fall auf 3 Server. Ausserdem besitze ich das Komplete Kontrol MK3, was ja bekanntlich das Feature "Lightguide" bietet, welches leider in Verbindung mit VEP7 nutzlos ist. Auf meinem Servern sind so viele unterschiedliche Libraries geladen, dass ich bei eher unbekannten Instrumenten quasi wie im Nebel in die Tasten greife. Wie schön wäre es, wenn es ein Tool existieren würde, welches das jeweilige geladene Instrument in VEP7 erkennt und dieses an das KKMK3 sendet, damit es die Lightguide Funktion anzeigt. Das wäre mal eine echte Arbeitserleichterung.

How many of us here use VEP7 Pro, in my case on 3 servers. I also own the Komplete Kontrol MK2, which is known to have the "Lightguide" feature, which unfortunately is useless in conjunction with VEP7. I have so many different libraries loaded on my servers that I'm basically groping in the dark when it comes to lesser-known instruments. How great would it be if there was a tool that could recognize the currently loaded instrument in VEP7 and send it to the KKMK3 so that it displays the Lightguide function. That would be a real work relief

Hi Peter,

Thank you for your email. Yes, we would love to see this feature network-enabled. Unfortunately, we have brought that up with Native Instruments on numerous occasions, but to no avail.

The Lightguide features work in local VE Pro Server instances - but not via a network.

Yes, but only as long only one plugin is loaded on one instances, right? If I load two plugins or more, KK does not show correctly the instrument I am playing with.

I found a software "USB network gate", maybe this tool could help but I did not get it working because as long I share the KK as a midi instrument over the network, it is no longer visible on the local host, that said Nuendo/Cubase has lost the KK as a midi interface.

Hi, no, there is a feature to make this happen. You have to click that little keyboard button inside the Komplete Kontrol GUI to let the keyboard know which instance of Komplete Kontrol is currently the "active" one.
