  • Closing Sale Problems with Synchronized Volumes ...

    As I have some vouchers left, I thought I might complete what I still want from the VI-Series. I have had this problem several times and it often stopped me from purchasing during deals, but this time I wanted to let you know, what kind of mess the whole Synchronized series created:

    When I want to to complete the full strings bundle, I get an attractive offer, well ... at least it would be, hadn't I made the big mistake in buying the Solo Strings Synchronized Bundle - in fact the only time I made the mistake of buying anything Synchronized. That is why I have to pay for both Violin II and Cello II, although I actually already paid for those.

    And the same thing would also apply for the super bundle. I was several times close to buying one of those two options, but having to pay again for the solo strings made the deal worse stopped me from buying.

  • I don't think there is any misunderstanding: I owned the solo strings previously, I then bought the crossgrade to Synchronized Solo Strings which includes Violin II and Cello II and when I look at the individual list of instruments I get charged for buying the VI-Series All-Strings-bundle I see I have to pay full price for those two instruments again. This spoils the deal for me. The same thing with super package.

    Hi! The webshop does not offer DOWNGRADE discounts. The SYNCHRON-ized instruments are the newer products. The Upgrade paths go from older and/or smaller products (VI Series) to newer products (SYNCHRON-ized). As I said, your best option is to contact our sales team. Best, Andreas

    By full price I was of course referring to the full current price, which includes the 50% off. But is still pay the same for these two libraries as anyone else who did not already buy them. That was my point. For good reasons I do not want to purchase the solo strings bundle, which contains no sample I do not already own. I am talking about the full string bundle. And there I am balanced with 79€ for each volume, which is exactly what everyone else is paying.

    Your explanation that the “downgrades” is not free explains what I experience, but that doesn’t make it right.


    And if that indeed is your pricing, I don’t see any reason to contact sales just to get further explanations that do not really help. I also don’t want to be offered something in private, I want to point out that this pricing is strange, does not seem fair to me and should be changed for everyone.


  • So, I contacted support and now nobody can tell me I did not try. But it is exactly as I suspected or even worse: writing an email to VSL-support gets you nothing but further "explanations". You get the same reasoning you already heard. VSL in 2024 has become immune to criticism of their marketing and customer relations.
