  • Vienna Instruments Pro not picking up samples (all articulations of all instruments are red)

Hello there, a problem has cropped up out of the blue.

I'm using Vienna Instruments Pro within Vienna Ensemble Service 7.3.3628.

    Windows 10 / Midi editor = Reaper.

The disc on which my samples are held is active. Using file-explorer I can access the files for the individual instruments. My licences are all shown with green dots in VSL and in ILOK (91 activations).

But when I call up my midi editing software and Vienna Ensemble calls up the Vienna instruments, the samples are red-tinted as if they can't be found.

I've been using the set up since the iLok conversion with no trouble until today. I last used it about 3 days ago. I restarted the computer / swapped the connections for the disc but to no avail.

Has there been a change to inflict this?

Any help anyone can give would be most appreciated and with thanks.

    Ivor.

  • I can't see an edit button but I should add that Windows did an update during last night. It hasn't missed a file or two has it?

  • Hi! Red cells usually mean that either the sample content in question is not installed, moved to a different location by hand (so that the player couldn't know about it), or the license is not activated in iLok License Manager.
