  • Automation MIDI Controller index mismatch with some third-party FX plugins

I'm attempting to use VEPro7's Automation MIDI Controllers to control the parameters of third-party FX plugins. It seems that, for some third-party plugins (in particular Native Instruments Guitar Rig 6 and almost all Waves plugins), the mapping of the Automation MIDI Controller to the desired parameter is out by one.

    I'll give an example.

Here is a Waves SSLCompressor loaded into the FX slot of a plugin channel in VEPro7.

I set up a new Automation MIDI Controller, to map any incoming MIDI CC50 from my DAW to the Attack parameter on the compressor.

But alas, when the MIDI CC50 data comes through, the Release parameter is affected, which is the next parameter in the list.

I have tested this on all of the plugins I have set up with VEPro7. The following list contains all plugins for which this "out by one" mismatch occurred.

    • Native Instruments Guitar Rig 6
    • Waves AudioTrack
    • Waves C1, C4

Does anyone have any advice on (a) how I could manually fix this or (b) who I should contact to see if this can be fixed (it's hard to know if it's a VEPro7 issue or a Native Instruments / Waves issue). I can simply select the parameter before the one I want, but it is rather hard to work this way.
