  • [SOLVED] MIR Pro 3D settings lost when used as channel panner in Cubase 13

    Hi,

I am routing my stereo busses to a 7.1.2 standard bed, using MIR Pro 3D as an alternative VST channel panner, and replacing the default VST MultiPanner. All is good while the session is open. I am selecting a venue default preset (Synchron Stage Wide HOA 7.1.4) and I assigning the instruments into roles. However when I close Cubase and reopen the project later the instrument assignment to roles is lost, and only the venue preset is preserved. Is this a known issue? I have tried to remove all MIR instances and rebuilt from scratch, but I am always getting the same problem when I re-open the project.

Any guidance would be highly appreciated.

The "Roles" are nothing that is known to Cubase per se. Consider them as meta-data that exists outside the host's reach. For the DAW, all that counts are the Icon's position and the other source- and Venue-specific features, but not their functional relation.

If you want to preserve Roles, then please create a custom Venue Preset first and save it with the Roles assigned. This should do the trick. MIR 3D's Preset Management (F7) takes care for it.

    A basic example:

Please let me know if this solves the issue.

    Kind regards,

  • Hi Dietz,

Perfect, this worked. I saved my own new custom venue preset and it's now recalled when reopening the project with the roles in place. Thank you!

  • You're welcome! Glad to hear that I could help you solving that riddle. 😊

    Enjoy MIR 3D!
