If I do not touch the Pan in Logic the signal of the Flute 1 that I have place on the left side
Please post a screenshot that shows the Main Microphone, too, or add a screenshot from the Output Format Editor (F4). It's hard to offer any meaningful answer without knowing the most important part of the puzzle.

This show that all the signal coming out of MIR is coming form the 9 speakers, even the top ones.
Nothing wrong with that - after all, that's what "immersive audio" is all about: Enveloping the listener in an aurally accurate way. This is especially true for the wet signal component (which is all you hear in your example, as the instance is set to "100% wet", obviously), but also for the dry signal, because MIR takes care for its aurally proper position in the room by means of its underlying Ambisonics panning.

The signal comes from the left.
Yes, this is what simple power-panning will look like. You are comparing apples with pears.

So there is a problem in MIR, it does not send the signal to the good output
Do you know a solution ? Have I a bad setup in MIR ?
There is no problem with MIR 3D, it just seems like you don't know what to expect from an actual 3D recording in a real room (... which is what MIR 3D virtually recreates). However, I can't say if you have a bad setup in MIR 3D, too. Like pointed out above, I would have to see the Output Format first.

After going to 3D How do you reverse in 2D ?
You're again mixing up topics here, don't you?
But anyway - typically you have three options:
- Re-record the stereo downmix of the Atmos renderer.
- Create a so-called downmix from your 3D mix, either automatically by means of the built-in options of the DAW or a 3rd-party plug-in, or manually by means of a signal matrix or a channel mixer.
- ... or the most elegant one: Switch to an appropriate stereo Output Format in MIR 3D. Of course, this will only work if you don't use sources in your mix that don't use MIR 3D for spatialisation.

How do you send the instrument to the top speakers ?
In MIR 3D there will more or less always be something going on in all speakers, especially in case of the wet signal. If you want to position sources noticeably higher than the conventional stage area, you have two options:
- Either you use actual Hot-Spot positions that were situated above the stage, e.g. the so-called "Angels Choir" in Vienna Konzerthaus - Great Hall, or one of the balconies in the churches we captured.
- ... or you virtually push the source towards the top layer by increasing the value for its Z-coordinate. While this will not trigger actual IRs captured in that height, it will at least change the dry signal's position accordingly and adapt the Ambisonics decoding geometry of the wet signal accordingly to grant for a believable result.

P.S. It is very interesting to see that more of 570 users have read the topic on converting a Logic stereo project to and Atmos project
I guess that about 450 of these visits were either you, me or other members of VSL's support team. ;-D

Hello Dietz,
Thank you very much for your detail answer.

I did not explain properly : I mean changing the venue visualy from 3D to 2D 😀
Thanks for the explanation on the dry/wet, if you turn down to dry the position of the instrument is at the same position than in the venue.
What is a good value for dry/wet ?
Do you need to enable the "Dolby ATMOS " Au in Logic ? or they enter in conflict with MIR PRO ?
Did you like the MIR Manual in PDF I Made that I have send to support ?
Kind Regards
Cyril
I do not understand you can say I am rude, may be it is a translation problem as my mother tongue in not English.
I am trying to be very polite.
Can you point out what I have said that is rude !
Thanks
Cyril

It depends on your expectations, but the default 50% setting with Distance Dependent Scaling ON is a great starting point, assuming that there is no Global Offset in the Output Panel.

Please refer to Logic's documentation. I assume it also depends a lot on your desired output format.

I'm very happy if it helps you to find your way 'round MIR 3D!
Can you point where I was rude so I don't do it again !

@Cyril Blanc OK as you are not a native English speaker I will give you the benefit of the doubt.
Hello Dietz
Thanks for your answer
On my MacBook Pro I did not have time to read the 3D Navigation instructions : I have send this problem to support
Why can't you make it more simple : just click or unclick on the 3D icon to be in 3D mode
For the manual of MIR Pro in PDF ; are you going to make it available on VSL site or shall I make it available on my site.
Is it normal that I cannot hear my Flute 1 when it is placed at the "Angels Choir" in Vienna Konzerthaus ?
There are strange behaviours :
Kind regards
Cyril

Actually, the Venue Map is always in 3D mode. The shortcut simply resets the virtual camera to "bird's eye view", resetting the floor of the Venue to a 0° angle.
"Command - double click" (on a Mac) is as simple as it will get to achieve this.

Due to their exposed position, these HotSpots are indeed a bit hard to access (... I'm tempted to say: Like in real life. 😉 ...). The trick is to move the faint black positioning pointer line below the Icon's main "bubble" to the mirrored HotSpot-area behind the organ gallery:

On your own website you are of course free to publish any supplementary information you wish to present to the public. It might achieve better visibility if you write it down in a dedicated forum message on this board, but the decision is up to you.
Please note, however, that VSL's software manuals, even if you can download them freely from the VSL website, are protected by copyright. VSL does NOT authorise any use of its publications other than the intended one.
In other words, you MUST NOT publish anything that you have compiled from content that is not your own. VSL will not do this either, which means that the company will not publish your unsolicited PDF files.
Thanks for your understanding.
PS: Please do NOT mix up topics in your forum messages. It makes it quite hard to provide meaningful answers, and it renders the threads less useful for all other forum members. Thanks!
