  • Kontakt (and some others) not being 'seen' by VEPro - red box

    Hi there,

I've moved my VEPro template over from my old (now dead) PC to my new Mac Studio. I've got an issue with Kontakt (and the VIPro instrument). VEPro can't seem to 'find' Kontakt. I've rescanned everything, and in new projects Kontakt opens without issue.

At the moment though, I'm being presented with red boxes around the VI Pro instruments and !Kontakt! in red (screenshot attached). Anyone experienced this before? Thanks for any help.

  • There's a folder that's greyed out as well if that's any use. Kontakt is in there:

  • https://forum.vsl.co.at/topic/60463/suddenly-kontakt-6-and-kontakt-7-show-up-in-red-in-vep-pro-server I found this thread, and tried rolling back to a previous version of VEPro, but no dice.

Guys, I could really use some help here, I am drawing a blank on everything I'm trying.

    Thanks

    Mike

  • Just in case someone comes looking for this topic, Erik from Vsl has been in touch and running the Rosetta version of VEPro fixed this for me. Kontakt 5 (I set up bits of this template a LONG time ago) won't run on the M1 chip, so running in Rosetta fixes that. Obviously it's only a temporary solution, and I'll have to address that at some point, but I hope that's helpful for anyone who comes looking.
