  • Wiped ALL my NKS XML files?!?

I bought the Bosey Upright and installed NKS for it and Vienna Assistant hung on it. After over an hour I force quit it. When I relaunched Komplete Kontrol app and re-scanned most of my NKS had disappeared. I looked in the System vol/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Service Center all of my NKS XML files had been DELETED.

I can't be 100% certain it was Vienna Assistant that did this, I am just reporting what I'm seeing. This will be very extremely costly to rebuild as I don't back up things like this which I can't imagine getting wiped out like this. Please examine this bug. It could possibly be on Native Instruments' side as they are having serious problems getting KK3 built and stable. I'm using latest of everything on Mac M1.

I was able after purging the VSL NKS directory to successfully install all VSL NKS. I'm guessing that somehow things were corrupted and Vienna Assistant (or some other program) freaked out and wiped ALL the NKS XML files trying to force a rebuild. Well, all the 3rd party NKS XML files were also wiped, and no rebuild of those was forced, not even with a complete detailed uninstall and reinstall of Komplete Kontrol and its sqlite databases. So check your panic cleanup code and don't delete anything you didn't create. Yes it might not be VA doing this. But it is what crashed and it is one thing I did when the problem arose. And this is the sort of forced cleanup thing devs do as a debugging aid and accidentally leave in the public build.

I think I just encountered this, as well - just started a new topic to go into more detail.
