    Trying to figure out the best strategies for sample streaming.
    I bought two Kingston NV2 M.2 NVMe Gen 4 4TB drives, because of the good price at the moment compared to other drives.
    Installed them on a OWC Accelsior 4M2 that I have on a 16 lanes PCIe slot in my MacPro7,1 (2019).
    I also put an old SAMSUNG 2TB M.2 NVMeTM SSD, 970 EVO on the same card.
    The Kingston and the Samsung has the same read speed, 3,500 MB/s, which seems true according to Blackmagic Disk Speed test.
    I know the Speed Measurement in the Synchron Player is supposed to be a better tool for real world sample streaming scenarios,
    and the Kingston reads 265 MB/s in the Synchron Player, while the Samsung reads 505 MB/s.
    What can be the reason for this?
    Worse random read than sequential throughput?
    The Kingston being Gen 4 and some kind of throttling going on?

    Hi @Hakan Glante - The Synchron Player only performs a very quick and rudimentary check to determine whether the drive is an HDD or SSD. This check does not reflect the actual streaming speeds of your samples when using the player.
