IN CUBASE- USING VEP PRO IN CUBASE OR THE VEPPRO SERVER?

Sirs, where do I find the installer for the VIENNA ENSEMBLE PRO SERVER option in the Cubase rack?

I'm going back and looking thru the VEP7 walkthrough videos. In the 1st of them I believe that Paul is defining that the "VIENNA ENSEMBLE PRO" option that is in my Cubase rack is for standalone usage only, and that the VIENNA ENSEMBLE PRO SERVER is the option for usage within a daw, with PRESERVE as the facility the approximates sample purging.

So 1st:

Is this a correct assumption on my part

and then, if so :

VIENNA ENSEMBLE PRO and its affiliated links are the only VEP7 options that show up in my rack.

How, and where do I find the installer for the VIENNA ENSEMBLE PRO SERVER option for selection in the Cubase rack?

Hi @1g.c.

There are two kinds of apps in your Windows Start menu or the macOS Applications folder:

- Vienna Ensemble Pro (= Standalone)
- Vienna Ensemble Pro Server

The plugins in the DAW (for example, Cubase) can ONLY connect to the DAW server. The Standalone app "does not show up" in Cubase.
