  • Advice on Synchron Player Sound Output for Pro Tools and Mac OS

I am looking for advice as to the best way to access sound from the Synchron Player in my home studio. I have two scenarios:

    1) Within Pro Tools: Is the best way to use a Synchron Player AAX plug-in as a channel insert?

    2) Through Mac OS: Given that I am using Dante and that my monitoring paths all go through the MTRX Studio interface, does it make sense to use Dante Virtual Soundcard to route sound generated via the Mac OS?

    Thanks!

  • I have the Synchron Player inserted in Instrument tracks in Pro Tools. I'm also using MIR3D24 at least for Synchron-ised products (using the MIR mixer preset). Then I bus the outputs of each instrument track to wherever I want them. Basic setup is one bus for non-MIR Synchron and one for stuff coming back from MIR. I'm not familiar with Dante so can't really comment on your second option but the first works pretty well for me.

    All the best

    Nick
