    Hi,

    I can't understand the difference between these two articulations in Synchron Tam-Tams:

    • Muted Strokes. They are gradually damped even without releasing the key. Maybe because there is some felt or other mechanical damper installed?
    • Strokes with RS. They seem to be manually damped only after releasing the key. I can't understand what 'RS' stands for ('Release Short', maybe?)

    Any hint would be appreciated.

    RS stands for "Release Sample". This variation simply gives you more control over the length of the sample and when the release sample should be triggered. With "Muted strokes" the release is part of the sample.

    Ah, excellent! I will then go directly for it in my maps, since I like to write the note length. Note Off will trigger the damping.
