  • Connecting VEP7 In Mac Cubase 10.5 Rack

    Hi Everyone

I am having trouble connecting VEP7 in Mac Cubase 10.5 Rack

Opening the VEP Server first with / without an Instance does not seem to work

The VEP mini Connection Window does not display a NEW or Existing Instance

Obviously I am doing something wrong in VSL or Cubase

Any help will be most appreciated

  • Hi jdw,

Is your VE Pro Server running? Are you using it on the same computer or on a networked computer?

    Hi Paul

My VEP Server is running on the same computer

I am able to create a first Bank of 16 Instruments following the VSL - Cubase Setup Notes.

When I try to set up a 2nd Bank of 16 instruments, the VEP Connection Box opens, but it does not display a NEW or EXISTING Instance to connect.

Do I repeat the same process exactly from start (New Server), OR

Do I add on to the initial setup with a New Instance ?

Is there is a User Guide explanation, I could read.

Thanks for any assistance Paul and / or members

  • Hi Everybody,

The answer to my question is quite simple ...

Open VEP Server From Dock > Open Cubase Pro > Hub > Select Project To Be Supplemented With Additional Instance > Proceed In Same Way As Followed In Setting Up First Instance

    Procedure is outlined In: https://www.vsl.info/en/manuals/vep7/notes-for-cubase

Hope this works ... I'm a little new at trying to post solutions
