    I am slowly building my all-VSL Synchron library template using the "Close Surround" preset for each instrument

    When I click on said Mixer Preset for each instrument, the Mix window opens showing the Power Pan setting on each microphone strip

    For example, Trumpet 1:

    However, out of all the SY libraries I have added to my template, the Horn 1 Close Surround loads as follows:

    So, the Power Pan was not loaded so I right-clicked on the Pan knob and changed it to Power Pan -- but, nothing has been pre-panned like in every other "Close Surround" Mixer Preset

    I have not encountered this in any other SY library that I have

    Is this a bug? Was Horn 1 left out of the pre-panning workflow?

    I guess you have loaded the Surround preset which is meant to being used with a surround setup and where you assign each of the mics to the appropiate surround speaker. In this case panning iis not required.

    Instead use the other presets, for example the Surround to Stereo ones will use the surround mics as well, but these presets will also work in a stereo setup.

    Ben, thank you -- but, if you look at Close Surround patches from all other instruments (like the screenshot of the trumpet in my original post), they all have Power Pan settings

    It is only the Horn 1 that does not - that is why I thought perhaps it is a bug since Horn 1 is the only instrument that loads as such

    I was just trying to get to the bottom of things
