  • How do I route different microphones to different outputs?

    Hello everyone

I use Logic Pro as my DAW and would like to be able to have the outputs of different microphones in the Synchron Player go to their own channels in Logic

I see at the bottom of each microphone channel in Synchron that the output can be set (Master; 1 (Stereo), 2 (stereo), etc.)

So, for example, say I want the Close mic output to be it's own channel in Logic and the Main mic output to be on its own channel (and so on)

I have searched but cannot find out how to do this

If anyone can advise I would truly appreciate it

    Thank you

  • I figured it out

However, I do not have the option on these forums to edit or delete my post

How do I get the options to at least edit my post? When I click on the cog wheel in the bottom right corner of the post, the only option I get is "Report this post"

  • Related to this request of routing the SY mikes. I see a lot of VSL videos e.g. the one about Dolby Atmos in Logic Pro 10.7 where you see microphones routed to 1 (stereo), 2 (stereo) etc. Also the SY player manual shows it like that.

In the latest version of the SY Player however, I see the reverb on the right going to 1 (stereo) but all the other microphones to Master. If I then open up a channel pull down below a microphone there is no 1 (stereo). The list shows Master, 2 (stereo), 3 (stereo) etc. but no 1 (stereo). Do I assume correctly that you use two designation for the same microphone pair? So "Master" is 1 (stereo) and uses by default Out 1 and 2 if not changed in VEP or the DAW. Furthermore if also means that the reverb will be added to the Main i.e. the decca tree L/R microphone if you do not give it another channel.

For Dolby Atmos (at least in Logic) all microphone positions have been allocated to specific in and output channel pairs which can more or less be matched with those in the SY Player. The above mentioned video shows one way to do this. It might be interesting to use this thread (or a new one) to discuss this routing for Dolby Atmos from the SY player a bit more in detail as I did not find much on it in the forum or in Youtube. Especially if there are multiple SY instruments it can become complicated.
