    Hello everybody!

Synchron World Percussion: 29 authentic instruments from 3 regions of the world (West Africa, Middle East, Brazil) with over 500 MIDI loops!

Recorded at Synchron Stage with many mic positions and 3 close mic options, with an exceptional level of realism.

  • As a composer, I find that so cool. And I'm glad that a behemoth in terms of sampling libraries like Vienna is tackling this, as they did with Synchron World Winds.
I'd like to see more of extra-european instruments in the future, like, a stringed instruments libraries from East Asia perhaps? I'm nobody to have a say in terms of sampling agenda, of course. It's just a heartfelt request, from a fan to Vienna. đź’™

Are Dorico percussion maps in the works for Synchron World Percussion? I know they are currently under development for the main Synchron Percussion collections.

  • Hi mducharme!

Currently there are no plans to make Dorico Percussion Maps for Synchron World Percussion. It's much easier to get good results with this library if you use DAW software.

    Best regards,
    Andi

There's a lot more control with Dorico than there is with most notation programs (on par with a DAW in many ways), so I would disagree with this. You could record a performance live with MIDI or import MIDI and get all the detail where things are not necessarily happening exactly in time.

I think it is harder to map this type of library though in Dorico at the moment, because fewer of the instruments exist in the default instrument list (Dorico has fewer world instruments in general, missing some very important and common ones), and probably fewer of the techniques exist as well that are specific to these drums.

  • The wonderful video with Hamidreza Ojaghi is now only available “privately”?🤔

In order to schedule an unlisted video for release you have to set it to private first. This is a Youtube restriction. But it's now up again:
