Recently I upgraded one of my servers from Windows 7 to Windows 10 in order to keep up to date with VEP7 updates.
The usual method of placing the program shortcut in the startup folder was not working. So I created a Task Scheduler event with a 30 second delay after login. Still no work. Then I check a process viewer and in fact VEP7 does appear, but there is no user interface.
I load a DAW session and it works! I can see from the process viewer the resource usage when it's playing so there's no chance the instance is on another machine or whatever.
Is VEP7 running without a GUI window a thing that is known to happen under some circumstances?
