Hello! I was looking for a solution for several days, until I managed to get my iMac (main) working with a PC (slave). Both computers communicated with each other with remote desktop applications. Even doing a ping test, the computers worked fine. The only problem was VSL. My Imac couldn't find the PC. The solution: 1) set IP 10.0.1.7 (Main) and 10.0.1.10 (Slave).
Also, in the Windows Firewall, you must deactivate PUBLIC NETWORK.
Lastly, both versions of VSL must be the same on both computers. I hope it works for you.

Hi! Setting a network on Windows to "public" does make it more secure - but also less accessible. Public networks block VE Pro functionality. That's not exactly a problem of VE Pro, but how public networks are treated in general.
Imagine creating a public network at an airport or a cafe for people. You do not want to see the guy with the Macbook Pro being able to connect to the guy with the Windows laptop two tables behind him. 🙂
Best,
Andreas
