  • Hello Bill,

The main benefit is the integration with NI Keyboards (having the lightguide on the Keyboard, pre assigned values for the knobs, support for visual impaired persons, ...)

There seems to be a group of users who also like using Komplete Kontrol for preset management for live playing but I would not not realy count this as real benefit

    Best regards

    Gabriel

  • Hello,

I have four "Not Installed" NKS items that recently appeared in Vienna Assistant. I don't want to install them as I know I don't need them, and most likely never will.

Is there a way to delete them, or will I forever see them shown as "Not Installed" in Vienna Assistant?

    Thanks,

    LouisC

  • As for now I don't think there is an option to at least hide potential downloads.

    You cannot delete them.

  • Hum, that's too bad... Hope they eventually implement a solution (soon, if possible).

But thanks for your confirmation Frank'

  • Can they at least be shifted into the extras area? There they are alongside downloads for notation programs and DAWs which would make more sense to me.

NKS stuff is not a core part of VSL’s libraries nor using VSL’s libraries. It’s an extra goodie for those using NI’s ecosystem.

    Hi @Frankenstein @Louis C @rAC

As a first adjustment, only users with the Komplete Kontrol software installed on the system will see those NKS presets in Vienna Assistant.

EDIT: The Vienna Assistant Update will be rolled out soon. We appreciate your patience.

The main benefit of VSL moving those NKS presets to the registered products is that users ONLY see the NKS presets of products they own.

The old installer under "Additionals" was an all-in-one combi installer, and many people clicked through the installation too quickly without making adjustments.

Meaning: They ended up confused about hundreds of installed presets for products they did not own—or the other way around: They contacted us via support to explain why they could not use the products they "installed."

    Best,
    Andreas

  • @Andreas8420 Thanks for listening. I was pleased to not see NKS in my uninstalled list the last time I logged in,
