    Due to my Home Studio's Hardware/Driver limitations, I'm still running Win 7 (x64).

    Looking to purchase Vienna Ensemble Pro to run VIs on Second Server Computer.

    Steinberg says VE Pro 7 is NOT compatible, and I will need VE Pro 6 AND Vienna Key (Authorized Dongle) to accomplish this.

    Therefore, looking to purchase VE Pro 6 with Authorized Vienna Key Dongle.

    Please advise if anyone has this available and wants $$$.

    Hello Stewart,

    Our forum is actually not the place to transfer licenses...

    My advice is to invest in an upgrade, as Win 7 is definitely old now.

    Wasn't looking to step on anyone's toes, but your Support Staff recommended the ONLY way that I could get VE Pro (6 for my system) was to ask if anyone would like to sell their Legacy Version. Therefore I was just following through on Vienna Support's Recommendations.

    I would have been very happy to purchase VE Pro 6 at the same cost as VE Pro 7, but Vienna Support stated that was Not possible. (???) Interesting...

    Would have very much welcomed Solutions or Options (other than advice to change my OS).

    I am not alone, and am one of MANY who do Not support downgrading to Windows 10 or 11.

    I DO enjoy spending my $$$ with companies that Will work to provide solutions to acquire their 'Legacy' software, even though they understandably do not support their Legacy versions anymore. That's a Decent thing to do. (Native Instruments, Spitfire, Spectrasonics, Antares, Orchestra Tools, Best Service, etc. seem to agree with me). Hmmm... How bout that.(?)

    Very disappointed to see that it appears Vienna does not share this ethic.

    Please advise if you have any Other options or advice.

    Would still be glad to Purchase VE Pro 6 with Authorized Vienna Key.

    My apologies if there were some misunderstandings in your support ticked. Directly from our License Transfer FAQ:

    • Kindly note that we don't allow reselling in our forums or through platforms like eBay or similar, so you'll have to find a buyer privately.
    • eLicenser licenses cannot be transferred anymore

    And some further pointers to the technical reason why you can no longer purchase a VE Pro 6 eLicenser license.

    • VE Pro 6 is a retired product from before the switch to iLOK - it does not exist for iLOK
    • Steinberg (!) no longer issues elicenser licenses since early 2022
    • In this regard, VSL was a customer of Steinberg - we never issued product licenses ourselves (we added a product registration and sent you an activation code for your license, which we received form Steinberg)

    Thank you Andreas for your excellent response.

    I did not realize we are not to post any inquiries here about purchasing VE Pro 6.

    My humble apologies. Not trying to break any rules or get anyone in trouble, at all.

    Just seeking help from the VE Pro Community to legitimately purchase the Legacy Version of VE Pro 6.

    Again, due to significant (costly) Hardware/Driver Win 10 Incomptibility issues with my 56 channel mixer console and multiple A/D & D/A interfaces, my hardware will NOT run on Windows 10. I'm not willing to ditch my Win 7 (x64) compatible Studio equipment that I have had for over 20 Years and works Great for me. So Windows 7 it is.

    VE Pro 6 looks like the Perfect Product addition to integrate a Server running multiple/preloaded VIs... and some Excellent VIs as well. Wish I had realized that a couple of years ago when it was readily available.

    It would be Great to find someone who could assist me in this endeavor.
