  • Compatability of Special Edition and Synchron ... ? (Having not used VSL for about 7 years)

I have VSL Special Edition Libraries 1, 2, 3, 4, 1 plus, and 2 plus ... maybe a couple more. I also have Synchron Soft Imperial for some reason; I purchased it May 2023 but projects changed and I never used it. Can the Synchron and SE Libraries be used simultaneously in Logic Pro X? (Thanks for indulging a question from someone who is returning to VSL after about 7 years.)

No problem to use them both

  • Hi @benleedscarson - Welcome back! 🙂

As @Cyril Blanc said: It's perfectly fine to use both players in your Logic projects! Your older Special Editions use the Vienna Instruments Pro Player - our newer libraries use the Vienna Synchron Player. Both can be installed from the Vienna Assistant and then be used as an AU plugin inside Logic.

    Best,
    Andreas
