    Hello all.

I am considering moving my VE Pro 7.x and my libraries to a dedicated server that in all likelihood be running some flavor of MS Server (2012 / 2016 / 2019) The machine that I will be using is an HP ProLiant ML350P Gen8 with plenty of storage and 256GB of ram.

How I want to do this may be somewhat unconventional. There are a half dozen other services that I plan on running on the above-mentioned server. Eg. Web & Mail server / Nextcloud / TrueNAS. I should add that any one of these services will be used locally and very sparingly. In other words, when I am in studio accessing my sound libraries remotely that is all that the server will be used for during this period. I should have mentioned that I am using Cubase 12 Pro

I have not decided on a Hypervisor as yet but I may be leaning more toward VMWare ESXi. Although I am familiar with Proxmox as well.

Some of the questions that I have are:

    1) Can this be done?

    2) Are both eLicenser and my iLok required? If so, how do I manage them?

Your time and input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Peter
