  • VE PRO 7 configuration help request Mac Master / Pc Slave + shared Internet

    Hello everyone!

I'm looking for a little help to properly configure my new system consisting of :
a PC (the slave-Win11) and Mac (the master) and a shared internet connection.

I have no trouble getting the two computers to communicate with each other, and everything works in VE Pro 7 (with just an ethernet cable between the two).

On the other hand, where I get stuck (and I don't dare make any changes yet) is on the Internet connection sharing.

Let me explain: wifi reception is very poor in my studio, so I have to use a wired connection. How can I get Internet access on both computers, while keeping my fixed IP addresses 192.168.0.X with subnet mask 255.255.255.0?

Is this possible ? Ideally, the Internet should arrive on the Mac and then go back to the PC, but I don't mind the other way round.

I also have a small ethernet switch (not yet in use)

    Any advice? Thanks a lot!

  • Another Network card perhaps? Or a WiFi range expander. readily available on Amazon I am certain.
