    Hi,

    I have an instance on my slave with 96 Synchron players for Dimension Strings bundle. I have reset the mixer in each synchron player and I have no other plugins so there should be no processing going on. However, the Mac Pro slave (2 x 3,46 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon) still uses 30% CPU when idle and can barely play a unison phrase with 24 instances with 4 buffers on VEPro and 1024 buffer size on host.

    This wasn't the case when using VI Pro. Is there something I've missed or is the Synchron player just not as efficient as VI Pro? What is it "thinking about" at 30% when idling? Just curious

    Edit: I will try to merge Tasto + Ponticello to Normal and reduce players by 50% to see what happens

    Interestingly, reducing the amount of players from 96 to 48 resulted in a reduction from 30% to 20% CPU load on idle.

    Update:

    I merged everything into one player per instrument and now it's idling at 7-8%.

    Takeaways:

    There is no preset for Dimension Strings Bundle. This took me a lot of time to fix, since there's no way (that I have found) to create a new "root". I think it's a little bit sloppy to not provide that, given that you want's to keep player count to a minimum because of the base index of CPU consumtion of each player.

    Hi! Thank you for your screenshots and the detailed report. We have a lead on why you are seeing that 30 % CPU consumption without any signal flowing and this can most likely be improved with one of the next updates.

    Hope I'm in the correct place here. I have VEP 7 on my slave Mack book m1 (sonoma). Synchron piano loads but I can't get synchron player to load. It's asking for an update but I have the latest version. Synchron player loads as a standalone however.
