    Apologies if this is an obvious one, but I have searched the forums (and I have spent about 6 hours today mapping articulations to my Elgato Stream Deck, so my mind is fried). I am brand new to VSL, and only purchased a number of libraries yesterday.

    It's essentially this. In Synchron Elite Strings, spiccato is mapped to Type C~ and Midi Key D#

    I want to change the mapping so that Type C~ remains the same, but the midi key is changed from a D# to a D.

    (This is because that mapping will match me Strings Pro mapping).

    I just can't seem to figure this one out. How do I change the relevant midi key for an articulation?

    Can any one please help me?

    Hi! The Short notes > Staccato articulation is mapped to C1 & D2 (with middle C = C4) in Synchron Elite Strings and Synchron Strings Pro. However, you can always click on the grey areas above the articulation tree to change the type & key switch. For example, white keys only - or chromatic keyswitches.

    I have a video for you that may shave hours off your successful conversion from midi music to music with samples from VSL, as if you were using the "trial and error and experience successes and failures" learning method.

    The video shows you the individual steps that you usually have to go through when making music with samples. The video contains a lot of information (text to read and images with texts), so you will probably have to pause the video from time to time. The video lasts around 20 minutes.

    Of course, there are other ways to use samples and make music with them. There are probably as many possibilities as there are users 😉 But once you know a successful way, you can adapt all the steps to how you would like them to be.
