  • I am using VEP7 Pro 7.3.3. I felt it was working just fine with a newer version of Kontakt just last week. Now when I load, it will only load Kontakt 4 and the instances are highlighted in Red. I have reloaded Kontakt 5, but still wont load. Do I have to roll back to older version of VEP? This doesn't sound right...

Hi Andreas, I was hoping you might have some more insite with this ongoing issue I'm having with VEP7 server getting hung up identifying and locating my Kontakt players. All of my Kontakt players are up to date and work just fine in my DAW (DP11). Below are a couple of screenshots. I've been at this for 3 days now and am beyound frustrated at trying to figure this out.

  • Hi Tone,

Clearing the VE Pro plugin cache folder could help. Maybe some old files cause issues. Please restart your computer and delete the entire cache folder from /Users/#yourusername#/Library/Caches/VSL/Vienna Ensemble Pro, then launch VE Pro Server - does that make a difference?

  • Andreas,

    No change. Same results.

    Next?

  • Hi Tone-ster,

Please roll back to VE Pro 7.3.3388 from the Archive in the Vienna Assistant and reset and rescan all your plug-ins in the VE Pro 7 Preferences/Plugins/ - this should properly validate your VST and VST3 plug-ins again.

Please stay with this version for the moment - we have identified a plug-in scanning issue with VE Pro 7.3.3440 on some Intel Macs and our development team is currently looking into this!

    Best, Marnix

    Hi @Tone-ster

Please install the latest VE Pro v3499 Update - that should fix those VST3 plugin issues. 😊

  • Hi guys, I have a brand new install on newest Sonoma and newest version of VEP and same thing. I removed VST plugs (hid them, really) and it launches fine, but then Reason is missing its plugs. How can I get Vienna to work with these VST3 plugs?

  • Hello! Also experiencing this with VE Pro 7.3.3725 running on a Mac M1 Ventura 13.7.1. Lots of plugins, like Kontakt 7 (AU), some Ujam plugins (AU), Wave Alchemy Triaz (VST3), and other minor plugins.

This only happened when I updated from Ventura 13.6.6 to 13.7.1. I also just updated to Pro Tools 2024.10, but I figured there's not really a connection since this happens even with just the VE Pro 7 standalone.

The strange thing is that it was all working with the Mac OS and Pro Tools updates just a few hours earlier and only started manifesting (and getting worse with increasing number of unvalidated plugins) when I started a "Reset and Scan All" (which I only did because 1 plugin was not being validated via "Scan for Changes" earlier).

Hope someone can somehow help out? Thank you!
