  • Do all versions of VE Pro on a network have to be EXACTLY the same?

I have a follow up question to the issue discussed in the link below. Is it possible to have computers in the VE Pro system with slightly different versions of VE Pro - for example, two computers on VEP 7.0.1120 and another computer with VEP 7.3.xxx. Could this work?

Re: Mixing versions of VE Pro on a network

  • Hi epic quest,

Yes - all builds must be the same. There are a few very early versions (7.1.x) that can connect to 7.0.1120 - due to an overlook on our part. Feel free to use those, but kindly note that we can not help with unsupported setups experiencing bugs/stability issues.

That's hilarious because it's virtually impossible to tell easily what version of plugin is running on Mac OSX. This whole thing has been a nightmare for me. Like worst software experience of my entire life. Like running my arm over a cheese grater is more enjoyable then setting up and configuring VEP. No joke.

Open the Vienna Assistant software and check what version of VE Pro is currently installed. That is the plugin that is running on your system and in your DAWs.

    Happy Holidays! ❄️🎆
