  • Odd Behaviour With Room EQ

    Hi,

    For some reason loading a Room EQ preset on one channel is affecting the Room EQ preset on other channels.

    In ths video I have the Soprano Choir and Alto choir both with the Soprano choir Room EQ preset. I load an Alto choir Room EQ preset on the Alto choir channel, now the Soprano choir channel has the Alto choir Room EQ preset loaded also.

    p.s. The Room EQ needs some work. Namely, undo/redo and drag over all nodes and maybe a spectrum display.

    That's in fact by design.

    -> https://vsl.info/en/manuals/mir-pro-3d/output-settings#room-equalizers

    Think of the RoomEQ as the EQ for the submix of the wet (!) signals derived from selected channels, e.g. "1st Violins" or "French Horns". For obvious reasons MIR can't do actual submixes as the signals are expected to return on individual channels. That's why there is a "Bank" of 32 (or actually 33) settings that serves as look-up table for the instruments' wet signal EQ. These Banks can have individual settings for each Venue Tab, of course.

    I'll make sure that VSL's developers take note!

    Kind regards,
