Don't think I've ready any suggestion of this before, and I'm sure there are already a bunch of FR's in the pipeline, but...
Depending on what it is I'm doing I often select and activate/deactivate different sets of instruments in a VEP instance. These may not all be in the same folder, in fact most often they aren't. An example would be if I'm working on a piece and I want to select only the core instruments I primarily use and leave the rest deactivated. My core instruments often aren't contiguous.
To me it would be useful if, instead of having to select instruments individually, I could define a custom set of instruments under some name useful to me. I could have "Primary," "Secondary," and "Rare" sets of instruments, and selecting them as a set would save tedium and time.
Just a thought.
